| Day Hiking - The Paradise Meadows trail head (Strathcona Park) is located across the road from the Guesthouse/Hostel. Day users will find a vast network of trails in the park, developed with bridges and board walks, making it suitable for all ages and abilities. Paradise Meadows offers hiking opportunities ranging from easy 1/2 hr to 3 hr loops, to more demanding full-day hikes. After a good days hiking why not enjoy a soak in our hot tub followed by a cold beer at one of Mt Washington's bars. Back country Hiking/Camping - Paradise Meadows also serves as the gateway to the interior of Strathcona Provincial Park, which is largely underdeveloped and appeals to people seeking wilderness surroundings and back country adventure. Extensive hiking routes from here include Mt Albert Edward (3 days), The Strathcona Park Traverse (3-4 days) and Comox Glacier (for experienced hikers only). |
