Booking Policies.

  • A full cleaning service is provided on your departure and is INCLUDED in the prices quoted above.The chalet is yours to maintain during your stay.
  • Included are linens and towels. We recommend you bring an extra towel for the hot tub.
  • Check-in is any time after 4pm, Check-out is by 11am. (If you check-out later than 11am- Late Check-Out fees will be applied).
  • No smoking and No pets indoors.
  • All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars, and are subject to 12% HST
  • Cheque, money order, cash, Visa and Mastercard accepted.
  • A 25% deposit is payable at time of booking, and is non-refundable. The balance of the rent is due 45 days prior to arrival. Non-payment by the due date will be treated as a cancellation and the Owners (Mt Washington Guest House) may re-let the property.
  • Cancellation: All applicants are advised to take out personal cancellation insurance. Any request to cancel a booking must be sent in writing to the Owners. Once full payment has been received and a booking is cancelled in writing, the Owners will offer the property for rent and will use whatever means considered reasonable to re-let the property for the period booked. If the Owners are successful the applicants will be refunded the difference between moneys that have been paid (the 25% deposit is non-refundable in ALL cases) less the sums receivable for the re-letting after the deduction of all costs and expences incurred by the owners which shall include a fee of $50 per day booked by the applicant.
  • No refunds will be made for unused days.
  • The person booking the chalet and therefore accepting responsibility for the rest of the guests, must be 25 years of age or older, and MUST be staying in the chalet for the entire length of the reservation. Any reservations made under false pretences will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment of rent, and the party will not be permitted to check-in, or the party will be required to leave.
  • A refundable security deposit of $1000 (pre-authorised) is required by Visa or Mastercard.
  • This deposit will be held against:1) Loss or damage during your stay. 2) Additional cleaning charges if the property is left in an unsatisfactory condition (ie, sticky tile floors, stains on carpets, walls need cleaning etc). 3) If the chalet rules/rental agreement are not adhered to. 4) Late check-out (unless prior arrangements have been made).
  • Hot Tub: The tenant agrees: That the hot tub is closed every evening at 11.00pm. For safety reasons, when the hot tub is not in use, the tenant must ensure the cover is replaced and secured with the straps provided. That no one use the hot tub under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Not to take any glass items to the hot tub. No food to be taken to the hot tub. To shower before and after using the hot tub.To ensure children under 16 are supervised by an adult. TO BEHAVE IN SUCH A MANNER AS NOT TO DISRUPT THE ENJOYMENT OF OTHER PEOPLE STAYING IN THE NEAR VICINITY OR PREDUDICE THE REPUTATION OF THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY, the holiday of any guests in breach of this clause may be terminated immediately and without further compensation or any further obligation. Any damage to the hot tub arising out of misuse or as a result of negligence and/or failure to follow the instructions herein, will be chargeable to the guest. A $75 charge will be made if the hot tub water has to be changed due to these conditions not being adhered to. Please note: The owners will do everything possible to provide the hot tub. Sometimes, due to unforseen circumstances, this may not be possible. If this is the case no compensation will be provided.
  • For respect for your neighbours please keep noise and music to a minimum after 11.00pm.
  • The Owners reserve the right to repossess the property at any time where damage or nuisance has been caused by the tenant or any member of the party. In such an event the Owner shall not be liable to make any refund whatsoever.
  • Mt Washington Guest House is not responsible for road conditions, weather conditions, snow or trail conditions, Resort issues or closures, power or utility outages
  • One Night bookings may require an additional payment.
